Tutoring, Mentoring and Study Skills - September 2018

Hello, my name is Neil Beckett and I provide tutoring and mentoring to a wide range of students of differing abilities and requirements. Students may see me on a regular basis or at times scheduled around tests or exams or when they require some additional help on a particular topic.

• Twelve years’ private tutoring experience, involving students from Elim, Macleans, Botany, Pakuranga, Howick, St Kentigerns, Sancta Maria, Sacred Heart Colleges. Other colleges and tertiary institutions include Strathallan, St Cuthbert's, Ormiston, MIT and Massey.

Tutoring and subjects

• My core students are between Year 9 to Year 13 studying Mathematics, Calculus, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry and Science for Level 1 to 3 NCEA and Cambridge International Qualifications - IGCSE, AS and A levels.
• I also provide tutoring to students below Year 9 and for Tertiary Adult Students.
• Very high success rate with students in exams.
• One-on-one tutoring
• Experienced with students with learning disabilities
• Tutoring sessions typically one hour, but can vary dependent on student needs and may be weekly or fortnightly or as required. Sessions are usually after school into the early evening or weekends. Tutoring over the school holidays is also available.
• Tutoring can be at your place or in my home. I live near Howick Intermediate and the Elim schools in the vicinity of Kurnell Drive.
• Operate in Dannemora, Botany, Howick, Cockle Bay, Pakuranga and Bucklands & Eastern Beach Areas. Prepared to travel to Beachlands, Maraetai, Clevedon, Ormiston and other areas.
• Tuition is structured and tailored to suit student's requirements and abilities. It follows the school's course timetable. Homework and additional work is set.
• I charge on an hourly rate.
